I will be entering my senior year at OSU and I have a little bit more knowledge going into this school year (maybe I should have more, but at least I have more).

FRESHMAN...don't feel so overwhelmed just yet. This shouldn't be the scariest time of your life, in fact, it should be the most exciting time of your life, so enjoy it! Do get involved. The freshmen class this year will be the largest class OSU has seen yet. This means, more people in the same boat as you! Don't be afraid to talk to someone who's all alone, because the odds are that they haven't met any new people yet either. Get to know people, I promise it will be well worth it. When I lived in the dorms my freshman year, the very first girl I met is still one of my really good friends to this day. Branch out.

Do go to class. Seriously. And while you're at it, do get to know your professors. These are the people who decide whether or not that 89 should be rounded up or not, and your attendance will likely be the deciding factor. Your professors will also be the ones writing you recommendation letters if you get to know them well enough.

Don't feel like you have to dress up the first couple days of school. That is just asking for people to notice you're a freshman. And speaking of appearances, DO workout. Everyone knows the freshman fifteen rule of thumb.

Do go to every single home football game! Stillwater has mastered the art of tailgating and you MUST experience it. Trust me, after you go to one, you'll go to them all.

Most importantly, do have a good time at college. These will be some of the best years of your life. Enjoy them.
